• Passengers will be able to purchase a single electronic ticket to their destination in the Americas or Italy, with a stopover at Madrid-Barajas Airport
02/06/2025.- Plus Ultra Líneas Aéreas and ITA Airways, Italy’s flagship airline, have formalized a strategic alliance that will allow passengers of both carriers to connect flights between Italy and South America through Madrid-Barajas Airport.
The interline agreement enables the issuance of a single ticket covering routes operated by ITA Airways from Madrid to Rome and, from there, to a wide range of domestic and international destinations served by the Italian airline, such as Florence, Venice, Milan, and Naples, among others. In addition, Plus Ultra passengers will have access to connections such as Tel Aviv, Dubai, Riyadh, or Jeddah.
One of the key features of this partnership is that travelers are guaranteed their connection in Barajas to their final destination in Rome or the rest of Italy, regardless of potential schedule disruptions.
Passengers will be able to purchase a single electronic ticket covering the entire journey to their final destination, available through major global distribution systems, travel agencies, and directly with Plus Ultra.
According to Roberto Roselli, CEO of the Spanish airline: “This is the first major agreement with this prestigious company, which gives us access to a very important market for us: the thousands of Latin Americans living in Italy who frequently visit their countries of origin, as well as the large Italian community in Latin America.”
